Qu'est ce que le prix L'OREAL-UNESCO?

"Chaque année, le prix L’Oréal - UNESCO "Pour les Femmes et la Science" récompense de grandes chercheuses ayant contribué au progrès scientifique, chacune dans leur domaine de recherche. Ayant pour but d'améliorer la représentation des femmes dans les carrières scientifiques et de reconnaître leur contribution aux progrès de la science, ce prix a été mis en place en 1998 par le groupe français L'Oréal et l'Organisation des Nations Unies pour l'éducation, la science et la culture. Il permet ainsi de sensibiliser les jeunes femmes à la vocation scientifique et d'améliorer l'image de la multinationale L'Oréal."
